Account Executive, New Business Position Profile
The Account Executive New Business growth-oriented sales role intends to launch your career in professional B2B sales. This role focuses on developing your foundational selling skills, industry knowledge, and product expertise to create net-new customers within the midmarket segment.
As a front-line sales resource, the Account Executive New Business will learn to identify, engage, and convert prospective companies into customers. You will accomplish these activities by understanding business challenges, competitive alternatives, and digital transformation needs. You will receive structured training, coaching, and mentorship to accelerate development into a high-performing sales professional.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect and pursue net-new midmarket customers within an assigned territory
- Build foundational prospecting skills through customer outreach across various communication channels, referrals, and marketing-generated leads
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand customer business needs
- Learn to position solutions as differentiated, value-based alternatives
- Collaborate with senior leaders and sales leadership on competitive actions to secure new customers
- Manage the full sales cycles, from initial outreach through contract close, with increasing ownership over time
- Deliver customer presentations and product overviews both virtually and in person
- Collaborate with other company groups like marketing and finance to win new business

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with focus on professional selling preferred
- 0–2 years of professional experience; internships or customer-facing experience preferred
- Strong interest in launching a career in B2B and technology sales
- Demonstrated competitiveness, initiative, and resilience
- Willingness to learn consultative and value-based selling skills

Working Conditions
