A BOLDSCIENCE Account Manager (AM) is the linchpin of the client service account team. They are the team’s go-to person and have their finger on the pulse across all day-to-day activities. They are a project management guru, staying on top of their account timelines, ensuring team members are well briefed, and leaders are updated on key actions. They feel confident delegating tasks to the surrounding team and taking ownership of deliverables. A BOLDSCIENCE AM is ambitious and is constantly striving for success, but they are all about the team and regularly take the time to coach, mentor and upskill those around them.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

At BOLDSCIENCE, no two days are the same, and our AMs play an active, busy hands-on role in providing day-to-day project management across their accounts. Some typical activities include:

Client Management:

  • Starting to build and develop their working relationships with the client. Ensuring client satisfaction is maintained
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to client queries
  • Communicate clearly to clients and escalate any concerns to the account lead
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the client’s needs and proactively manage the next steps
  • Ensure quality control standards and compliance guidelines are met
  • Develop a good understanding of the projects and build their knowledge of the account and key therapy areas
  • Starting to become familiar with content and reviewing drafts developed by the scientific team
  • Work alongside the team to ensure that the client receives appropriate strategic, creative, and digital planning

Project Management:

  • Take ownership of individual project & financial deliverables. Coordinate project activities and delegate tasks across the team
  • Provide tactical/operational guidance and find solutions to ensure successful project delivery
  • Lead and actively contributes to internal/external meetings where appropriate
  • Establish and administer project management processes to stay on top of all project-related details, including timelines and budgets
  • Manage day-to-day project activity from start to finish
  • Demonstrate proactivity and accountability throughout the project management process
  • Oversee activities of junior colleagues, ensuring that quality is maintained
  • Mentor junior team members and adopt a coaching approach to ensure they are supported
  • Use initiative to problem solve and drive to get results. They do not hesitate to draw in senior support where required
  • Collaborate and build relationships with the wider BOLD team, including Scientific, Creative, Editorial, Finance, etc.

Financial Management:

  • Deliver projects as agreed within clients’ financials & timelines; propose solutions to the senior team if issues arise
  • Create budgets for commonly used deliverables with minimal input from the wider team
  • Liaise effectively with third-party suppliers
  • Assist with the development of monthly financial reports and forecasting of revenue
  • Monitor account budget and communicate any red flags. Proactively anticipating out-of-scope projects and start to have those conversations with clients proactively
  • Able to identify and explain why projects are running over or under budget compared to current forecasts
  • Ensure that timesheets for the team are completed in a timely manner

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working within the Medical Communications industry
  • Experience working across a range of therapy areas and project deliverables
  • Proven ability working in a fast-paced environment
  • Good financial & commercial acumen. Confident in developing budgets and financial reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, third-party suppliers, senior leaders, wider business units
  • Good understanding of pharma regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in science, pharmacology, or medicine
