Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Managerto join our sales team. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensuring client loyalty and satisfaction through value creation for our clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B technology sales, understands the MSP landscape, and thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor for all IT and managed services needs. Understanding the client’s business model and business objectives is essential to ideating ways Information Technology can bring business value and competitive advantage to a client. Relationships with clients’ business leadership, along with the IT team, are crucial to succeeding in this role. Objective: become a trusted advisor to your clients.
  • Strategic Account Planning:
    Develop account plans that align with confirmed client business and IT goals. Associate how IT Services Solutions can contribute to the achievement of those goals. Establish a milestone-oriented execution plan, with associated timeline, to achieve success in bringing value to the client.
  • Sales Growth:
    Use Strategic Account Planning to identify and pursue upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts. Leverage other territory specific campaigns to generate demand for IT Services Solutions. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives.
  • Renewals & Retention:
    Manage contract renewals and proactively address client concerns to ensure high retention rates.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with service delivery, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless and positive client experiences.
  • Reporting & Forecasting:
    Maintain accurate records in CRM systems. Provide regular updates on account status, pipeline, and forecasts to leadership.
  • Self-Initiated Learning and Professional Development:
    In addition to what WorkSmart IT Services provides in terms of industry and professional education experiences, demonstrate that you are a student of the game, and are continuously curious in order to keep your skill sets sharp and at a higher level than your peers and your competition.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in account management or sales within the MSP or IT services industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (reference evidence required).
  • Strong understanding of managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, AI, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field preferred.

This is a hybrid position. Employees will work both on-site and remotely. Client site visits are also an expectation of this role.
