Business Development Representative, Life Sciences Strategic Accounts

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Americas Strategic Accounts team in Life Sciences & Healthcare. This is an amazing opportunity to accelerate biomedical innovation by matching Clarivate’s industry-leading solutions with business needs of multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • 2-4 years of sales experience with measurable track record of success, including cold calling B2B customers 

It would be great if you also had . . .    

  • Degree in Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or related subject 
  • Experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of software/information solutions in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Outreach.io

  

What will you be doing in this role?   

  • Identify sales prospects using LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and other tools
  • Source sales opportunities through outbound calls and emails and inbound lead follow-up
  • Book customer meetings for initial discovery
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate account managers for further development and closure 
  • Achieve quarterly quotas 
  • Understand customer needs and requirements 
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest 
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory

Hours of Work   

  • This position may be performed remotely or hybrid near any of our US offices
  • Continental U.S. Core business hours

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position is between $70,000 - 80,000 USD per year plus a commission plan of $47,000,000-52,000 target (paid monthly).  Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors. In addition to a competitive remuneration package, you will be eligible to participate in a benefits package that includes medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance, 401k with match, long term disability coverage, vacation, sick time, volunteer time, discount programs, and more.
