Job Summary
We are seeking a
detail-oriented and highly organized Account Officer to support the day-to-day
financial operations of our client's organization. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing
transactions, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and
compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and
maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting entries.
- Prepare and
process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial
documents.
- Monitor cash
flow, expenses, and daily financial activities.
- Reconcile
bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Assist in
preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain
proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
- Support
payroll processing and staff reimbursement procedures where required.
- Monitor
accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Ensure
compliance with company financial policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist
during internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Track budgets
and expenditures to ensure effective cost control.
- Liaise with
vendors, suppliers, and internal departments on financial matters.
- Perform
other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5
years relevant accounting experience
- Professional
certification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficiency
in ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or
similar platforms.
- Strong
Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and
financial reporting tools.
- Sound
knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, financial controls, and accounting
principles.
- Good
understanding of cost accounting and inventory management processes.
Skills and Competencies
- Basic
understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity
with accounting software is an added advantage.
- Strong
numerical and analytical skills.
- High level
of accuracy and attention to detail.
