Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and grow client relationships by selling and upselling Group Benefits products and services through brokers in the 2-5,000 employee group benefits market, leveraging MetLife's full suite of offerings to deliver comprehensive, multi-product solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic sales approaches based on buying influences, risk factors, and client business objectives, recognizing and shaping profitable deals that create mutual value for clients and MetLife.
- Build lasting relationships with existing clients and brokers through proactive communication, financial consultation, and strategic account planning, partnering with Client Services to identify and capture growth opportunities within assigned territory.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Legal, Enterprise Relationship Management, and Finance to deliver seamless client experiences from sale through implementation.
- Track and report on sales activity, prospecting progress, and pipeline strategies to drive consistent performance against territory goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years previous experience successfully selling/servicing related products.
- Ability to attain appropriate licensing as required including Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses or obtain within six months of hire.
- Excellent partnership, influencing, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to use AI to improve speed, quality, and efficiency across a broad range of day-tp-day tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher education.
- Highly skilled at listening to prospect needs, probing for root causes and unstated requirements, and translating insights into workable solutions, with strong financial acumen, strategic and creative thinking, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Highly adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with accomplished change management skills and the ability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed organization.
