If you are located in North Carolina or South Carolina, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. If you're located in Charlotte, you'll be hybrid in the office 3 days a week.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,000 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales representative for UHC Key Accounts is responsible for broker and direct sales to customers in the 51 - 5,000 employee range. The principal focus is the sale of new fully insured business, and Self-Funded business with indirect responsibility for the retention of existing accounts
- New Business Sales:
- Accountable for prospect from presale to implementation with extensive experience managing complex RFPs
- Ability to develop complex sales solutions: Self-Funded, Fully Insured Level Funded, Stop Loss, High Performing Networks, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision and Financial Protection
- Proactive CRM pipeline management
- Leads cross-functional team to achieve positive sales results
- Identifies opportunities for Ancillary/Enterprise products on all new sales
- Travel as required - 50% of the time
- Relationship Building:
- Collaborate with and develop key broker/consultant relationships
- Develop and maintain internal relationships across a matrixed organization
- Understand customer and broker needs and provide value-added consultation
- Identifies key brokers/consultants for management development
- Present a positive image of UHG in the marketplace
- Community involvement through professional organizations, associations and local organization
- Miscellaneous:
- Maintain current knowledge of all UHC products, services, and underwriting practices and principles
- Effectively communicate UHG/UHC strategies and mission to the marketplace
- Maintain knowledge of competitor products and services and how UHC can effectively differentiate ourselves
- Organized self-starter who thrives in a high performing team environment

Required Qualifications:
- Sales insurance license must be maintained as required by state law or ability to obtain upon hire
- 2+ years of insurance sales/account management experience, including selling or managing
- 2+ years of experience selling health care products through direct sales or brokers
- 2+ years of experience obtaining and exceeding sales goals
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining positive, constructive working relationships with senior level executives both internally and externally
- Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed experience selling 51+ employee complex opportunities
- Detailed knowledge of Fully Insured, Self-Funding arrangements, Third Party Administrator platforms, and Level Funding
- Detailed knowledge of network contracts, including discounts and High Performing Networks
- Detailed knowledge of pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management solutions
