Account Executive, HE (Full Sales Cycle/Net New Logo Acquisition)

WeVideo is the leading full-cycle video learning platform for content creators, businesses of all sizes, and educational institutions. We have a current opening for a "Next-Gen" Hunter to spearhead our expansion into the Higher Education market. As an Account Executive for Higher Ed, you are responsible for driving net new logo acquisition. This is a full-cycle sales role where you own the process from the first cold outbound touch to the final signature.

You aren't just an order-taker; you are a builder. You will navigate the complex, multi-stakeholder environment of colleges and universities—balancing the needs of faculty, IT, procurement, and C-suite administrators—while leveraging a modern, AI-enhanced sales stack to outpace the competition. This role provides a chance to demonstrate your sales skills and take your career to the next level in the field of Sales.

In this role, you will:

  • Aggressive Net New Logo Acquisition. Drive 100% of your quota through net new logo acquisition. Drive the full sales cycle to secure net-new partnerships with Higher Education institutions.
  • Pipeline Architecture: You are 100% responsible for building your own pipeline and must be a master of self-sourced prospecting. You will proactively mine the target addressable market and utilize signals based on WeVideo ICP data and tools like AI, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and GovSpend to identify Higher Education institutions primed for change.
  • Complex Stakeholder Navigation: Successfully multi-thread across the university ecosystem. You must be able to align disparate groups—from individual department heads to the Provost and CFO—to build consensus for institution- wide adoption.
  • Sophisticated Sales Execution: Manage long, complex sales cycles (3-6 months) involving deep discovery, rigorous qualification, and high-stakes negotiations with procurement, finance, and legal departments. You will manage complex deal flows involving deep discovery, rigorous qualification frameworks, and specific exit criteria for every stage.
  • Execute Deep Discovery: Move beyond surface-level needs. You will conduct root-cause analysis with multiple stakeholders to tie WeVideo’s platform to the institution's high-level business impacts, revenue, student outcomes, and strategic goals.
  • The "Stage" Presence: Command the Room. You must own the room through presentation, communication skills, and high energy. Whether in an on-campus boardroom or a virtual executive session, you deliver compelling, ROI-driven presentations that showcase WeVideo as a strategic institutional partner. You need to be able to communicate ROI and vision with authority.
  • Master the AI-Powered Sales Cycle/Tech Fluency: Utilize AI (Examples: Claude, ChatGPT) for deep-dive research into district board minutes, funding cycles, and org changes. You walk into every meeting with a sharp, data-backed point of view. Use AI throughout the entire sales process.
  • Negotiation & Procurement: Lead complex negotiations by navigating the specific procurement, legal, and funding hurdles of the Higher Education industry.

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ Years of SaaS Experience: Specifically in Higher Education or complex B2B enterprise sales. We value experience from scrappy startups over big-box legacy companies.
  • Full-Cycle Mastery: Proven ability to start a deal from a "cold" lead and navigate it through procurement to "Closed-Won."
  • High Tech Fluency: You treat AI as your "Chief of Staff" for research and follow-up. You are an expert in CRM hygiene (SFDC) and digital selling tools.
  • The "Motor": You are tenacious, competitive, and goal-driven. You don’t wait for any channel to feed you leads; you drive your own activity and maintain a high-volume, high-quality cadence that drives a robust pipeline.
  • Grit & Resilience: You understand the "ups and downs" of the academic buying cycle and have the persistence to stay the course through long procurement hurdles.
  • Masterful Communication & Executive Presence: Demonstrated ability to "own the room" and command the attention of buying committees (20+ stakeholders); must be equally adept at delivering high-impact, keynote-style presentations and drafting authoritative, persuasive executive briefs for Provost-level leadership.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible PTO
  • 12 Paid Holidays
  • Up to 4% 401k Match (100% vested upon employment)
  • Medical Insurance with United Health Care
    • Employee Premiums covered at 100%
    • Dependent Premiums covered at 80%
  • Vision/Dental Insurance with Guardian
    • Employee Premiums covered at 100%
    • Dependent Premiums covered at 70%
