Job Description

If you are a seller who loves the excitement of working for an industry leader that continues to evolve, you've found your next role. We are looking for a seller who has a background in strategy, marketing and data sales. The Account Executive position at Experian Automotive will work across lines of Dealer Agencies, Marketing Tech, CDPs and more. You will grow existing lines of businesses and uncover new opportunities with new clients.

As the sales lead on your portfolio of automotive advertisers, you will be responsible for revenue growth, short- and long-term strategy development, scoping and retaining. Your clients will see you as their trusted consultant who understands their challenges, provides invaluable insights drawn from Experian's arsenal of automotive insights, and tailors solutions to help them solve their challenges. Additionally, you will partner internally with partners, product experts and our consultants to create an integrated business plan and strategy supporting your advertisers. You will report to our Director of Advertising. This position is remote-friendly.

Requirements:

  • Experience with trends and developments in digital products, its possible effects to Experian Automotive and how to best leverage to win more share of budgets, (e.g. ad tech, data/data onboarding, first party data management, activation, attribution/measurement)
  • Have a understanding and curiosity of the automotive and advertising landscape and industries. Speaking to automotive trends, uncover data sets opportunities for clients and understanding a pace for growth.
  • A thinker who can have strategic conversations with C-suite and decision makers up and down a client's organization.
  • Uncover needs to address client challenges with relevant insights and enterprise level solutions that elevates Experian to preferred partner status.
  • Grow revenue and exceed sales goals by networking horizontally and vertically within clients to acquire new business/contracts, upselling and renewing existing business.
  • Develop client relationships in-person, at networking events, conferences and through remote capabilities.
  • Collaborate and partner across Experian teams to identify and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • Position the benefits of our data, product suite and business model to decision makers at the partners, demonstrating how Experian Automotive can help grow their business.
  • Experience understanding insights, analytics, and trends.

  • Background in sales focused on marketing, data activation, and insights.
  • Apply data solutions to power go-to-market plans, analytics and attribution
  • Track record in positioning data products and solutions, using data to guide insights, creating meaningful meeting content and delivering impactful sales pitches to our clients and partners
  • Background in sales success - achieving and surpassing goals, and managing to a revenue goal
  • Motivated, curious and creative team player who strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations
  • Familiarity with the auto industry and competitive environment
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects
  • Willingness to travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, marketing, or a related discipline, though candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered.
  • 7+ years in digital media sales and data sales. Direct experience working with agencies, dealerships and martech organizations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
