Team Overview

The Payments, Cards and E-commerce Account Development team drives growth across these strategic markets by developing client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and delivering sustainable revenue. The team comprises five senior Account Directors who manage significant and complex accounts while supporting TransUnion’s broader growth objectives.
This role reports into the Chief Revenue Officer, UK.

 

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

We’re looking for an Account Director to join our highly talented and growing Payments, Cards and E-commerce Account Development team at TransUnion. In this role, you will sell complex, high-value solutions and services, lead long-cycle commercial negotiations and develop strategic client relationships to achieve an annual revenue target.

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Own and deliver an annual revenue target across the Payments, Cards and E-commerce markets.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic, high-profile accounts and prospects with significant revenue and diverse, complex requirements.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification and proposal development through negotiation, contracting and long-term client commitment.
  • Develop compelling, professional materials and executive-level presentations to support client engagements and sales pitches.
  • Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and coordinate internal resources to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of assigned accounts, including their financial performance, business needs, relevant markets and applicable TransUnion products and services.
  • Build and maintain a strong external network to remain informed about clients, competitors, industry developments and emerging market opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and solutions, develop supporting business cases and champion opportunities through the product-development process.
  • Negotiate and manage contracting activities between TransUnion and client organisations while operating effectively within a regulated environment.

 

Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Extensive experience in a client-facing strategic sales role, including selling complex, high-value solutions through a full-cycle sales environment.
  • Expert knowledge of the complete sales process, including account planning, opportunity development, negotiation, contracting and revenue delivery.
  • Proven experience managing strategic or large, complex accounts and developing relationships with senior client and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver persuasive executive-level presentations and commercial proposals.
  • Understanding of the responsibilities and controls associated with working in a regulated environment.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong commercial and account-management capability, including revenue planning, sales-pipeline management and opportunity development.
  • Advanced negotiation and contracting skills for complex, long-cycle commercial agreements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop professional sales materials and executive presentations.
  • Full UK driving licence, as occasional travel will be required.
