Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Enterprise Accounts the BDM, Access Control - Federal Government holds a key position to grow the access control sales within the Federal Government market and continue strong growth within VA's. This role requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about Access Control and is highly customer focused and efficient. The core objective of this position is to create and win access control projects and customers within the Federal Government space and working alongside our Federal Government teams within MSI.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain and grow an operational and security mindset in relation to access control within the Federal Government space. Work extremely well with other sales professionals within the VS&A organization 

  • Work with and educate North American Sales Team members on how to engage with the Federal Government vertical effectively and with maximum results

  • Develop and maintain deep, meaningful relationships within our Federal Government accounts that are relevant to security and access control and have the possibility of generating opportunities for Motorola Solutions

  • Work with the Federal Government team to identify key partners/end-users; equipping the team with resources to quickly and effectively engage contacts in a manner that will result in Motorola Solutions revenue growth.

  • Identify “product gaps” that need to be addressed by Product Management in order to gain greater exposure/standardization in the enterprise access control market. 

  • Manage business unit resource - demo equipment, marketing budgets, travel budgets, or any other resources the company allocates

  • Develop standardized Federal Government market presentations and sales tools for use by the Federal Goverment team to discuss our Access Control offerings

  • Compile data on competitive products and pricing and report it back to head office, maintain working knowledge of competitive offerings

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Access Control, a focus in government sales is desired

  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions

  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships

  • Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy is required

  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Previous government experience is a plus.

  • Ability to travel up throughout North America, as needed

Territory:

  • The role will have the responsibility to cover enterprise named accounts throughout  North America.

  • Frequent travel (approximately 50% by air and car) will be required during the execution of the duties of the role

Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
