We need an English-fluent Infrastructure and Operations Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Are you the one we are looking for?

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain robust, scalable CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Docker, and AWS services to streamline deployments and reduce downtime.
  •  Oversee and optimize AWS environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud-based services.

  •  Ensure infrastructure meets security and privacy standards through proactive hardening, access control, and secure deployment strategies.
  •  Perform basic SQL database administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, backups, and data recovery processes.
  •  Use AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and support serverless deployments using AWS Lambda and related services.
  •  Set up and maintain observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
  •  Perform advanced Linux system administration, including updates, configuration, performance optimization, and security enhancements.
  •  Work cross-functionally to support application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment between infrastructure and development efforts.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.
  • Proficient in AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, and related cloud-native tools.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub Actions and Docker in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and tools (VPN, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and basic database administration tasks.
  • Security-minded approach to infrastructure design and deployment.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

  • The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $3,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
  • This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
