Manage financial reporting processes, prepare statements and schedules, ensure compliance, communicate results, mentor staff, and assist in audits.
Job Objective:
Assists in the management of Financial Reporting on all aspects of the company’s corporate external financial and compliance reporting process including, planning and coordinating the annual external audit process.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares the required notes and reports for the company’s external financial statements.
- Prepares work schedules and other work papers in support of the company’s corporate and other generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) financial statements.
- Prepares reports for the external management reporting process, including financial and operational analysis.
- Subject matter expert in assigned areas and assists in ensuring reporting compliance is met with respect to the company’s banks, partners and other external parties.
- Proactively resolves issues within area of assigned responsibility.
- Effectively communicates financial results to direct management.
- Assists with the coordination of the annual financial statement audits.
- Assists in mentoring and developing staff.
- Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
- Supports company vision and mission.
- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years minimum financial reporting experience with at least two (2) of those years spent in public accounting.
- Ability to identify and analyze accounting and financial reporting questions and develop solutions responsive to those questions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with some supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
- Upstream reporting knowledge.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Preferred: Strong working knowledge SAP software.
Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in accounting
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Required: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working toward a CPA license.
