ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT TECH
A long-standing focus on emerging technologies
In 2011, after 10 years of working in IDeaS’ India office, Atul Shendye moved to the company’s U.S. office. “Throughout the years, I never thought of leaving this company,” said Shendye, reflecting on his two-plus decades at IDeaS. Driven by a passion for learning and innovation, Shendye and fellow team members explore new technologies — including back-end code in C, cloud infrastructure and even in-house intellectual properties — to create solutions for the hospitality industry. These tools help address changing market conditions and support casinos amid the pandemic’s lingering effects.

PRIORITIZING DEVELOPMENT
Committed to advancing careers and enabling growth
Coral Brevig
Director, Enablement and Engagement
At IDeaS, a strong focus on customer success never detracts from employees’ own professional development. In the Career Circles program, a facilitator guides team members on a journey of self-reflection to assess career direction. “They encourage people to question their decisions and goals and help them figure out what next steps they may want to take,” said Coral Brevig. On Brevig’s team, skill-building time is built into the work week, and one-on-ones with managers provide opportunities to discuss development. By providing dedicated avenues for growth, IDeaS empowers career advancement.
Career development is part of your 40 hours. We include dedicated time for this each quarter because we think it’s important.
FLEXIBILITY AND BALANCE
Championing teammates professionally and personally
In Wendy McCurdy’s 11 years at IDeaS, she’s seen team members encourage and support each other whenever help is needed or a complex problem calls for an all-hands-on-deck response. She’s also benefited from colleagues’ flexibility and understanding in balancing her professional life with the personal things that matter most. When her daughter has a sporting event or academic activity, she’s there. She can be fully present during family camping trips — and work remotely if need be. “The ability to be able to work a full-time job and still do all those things is pretty amazing,” said McCurdy.

It all fits. It all works. I’ve never felt like I can’t fit things in. The way we work here is very flexible. That’s been the key to balancing it all.
