Own the full employee lifecycle for a growing neobank, including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy administration, compliance, benefits, leave, payroll support, HRIS data, and engagement initiatives. Advise employees and managers, maintain audit-ready records, ensure employment-law compliance, and improve people operations in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Own the organization’s information security and compliance program, including AWS, identity, endpoint security, incident response, third-party risk, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and NIST initiatives. Lead AI governance, tool evaluation, AI development pipeline security, and usage policies. Partner with engineering and product teams on secure integrations, APIs, platform architecture, and technology roadmaps while supporting launch readiness in a regulated fintech environment.

Develop and monitor the compliance management system for banking regulations, policies, risk assessments, audits, examinations, and regulatory reporting. Own consumer complaint intake, investigation, resolution, trend analysis, and reporting. Design and deliver employee compliance training, track completion, and update materials based on regulatory changes and findings. Collaborate across departments and present compliance results to management, committees, and examiners.

Own end-to-end QA strategy for mobile and web applications as an individual contributor. Design test plans, scenarios, taxonomies, automation, manual and exploratory coverage; integrate regression and smoke testing into GitHub CI/CD and AWS environments; manage defects and reporting in Jira; and provide evidence-based release quality decisions. Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and program management while applying AI-assisted testing responsibly.

Own the general ledger, monthly close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll accounting, financial reporting support, and internal controls. Prepare journal entries, maintain audit-ready documentation, support ERP implementation, document accounting procedures, and assist with technical accounting, audits, tax reporting, and process improvements. The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and independent ownership of accounting operations.

Processes and reconciles deposit transactions, including ACH, wires, internal transfers, and check deposits. Investigates discrepancies, manages escalations involving fraud, disputes, compliance, and failed transactions, and coordinates resolutions across internal teams and vendors. Maintains audit records, supports reporting and balancing, monitors regulatory adherence, and recommends control improvements. Requires availability for second-shift work and time-sensitive transaction cutoffs.

Build and operate a banking platform across Flutter mobile, React web, AWS infrastructure, and GitHub Actions CI/CD. Develop AI-powered features with Claude, establish secure and auditable engineering practices, and manage integrations with banking platforms, payment rails, and fintech APIs. Embed with partners and clients to deploy, troubleshoot, gather feedback, and shape the product roadmap. The role is on-site in Charlotte with periodic travel and on-call responsibilities.
