Driven Brands announced that Mo Khalid has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately. Khalid most recently served as executive vice president and president of Take 5, where Tim Austin will now step in as president.
Headquartered in Charlotte, Driven Brands is the largest automotive services company in North America. Its portfolio includes Take 5 Oil Change, Meineke, Maaco, 1-800-Radiator & A/C, Auto Glass Now and CARSTAR. The company operates roughly 4,800 locations across the U.S. and 13 other countries, servicing tens of millions of vehicles annually.
As president of Take 5, Mo Khalid oversaw the brand’s expansion to more than 1,200 locations and helped drive system-wide sales past $1.5 billion. Having strengthened operations and built a high-performing team, Khalid anticipates applying that same operational rigor across the Driven Brands’ portfolio to improve decision-making, expand margins and ensure consistent growth.
