Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Venmo Marketing role is a fast-paced client facing marketing role responsible for driving campaigns, strategy and ongoing innovation within the Venmo App and across various channels. The successful leader will establish a strong and productive partnership with PayPal and Venmo to achieve the Venmo co-brand portfolio goals. The leader will contribute to development, execute, and manage the marketing plan from acquiring new accounts through lifecycle, while successfully gaining alignment with PayPal and Venmo.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to overall marketing leadership for the Venmo co-brand portfolio.

  • Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills to help connect campaign learnings into the broader growth strategy.

  • Work in a highly quantitative environment with ability to clearly articulate results, spike out learnings and big themes through client marketing routines and operating rhythms.

  • Build and maintain a strong, trusting, and productive partnership with PayPal and Venmo.

  • Ability to optimize marketing strategies around profitability goals, including understanding of how top line drivers flow through the P&L.

  • Partner with analytics and help monitor and accurately forecast growth drivers.

  • Work with internal, client and external resources to manage development of digital assets, research plans, product prototypes, and marketing collateral

  • Have a digital mindset to develop effective creatives, track program performance, and maximize customer performance across all our digital engagement channels

  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor products and experiences and find opportunities to continue to enhance customer experience.  

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 8+ years industry experience in credit, digital payments, fintech and digital marketing

  • 5+ years of marketing and/or cobrand, digital, retail client portfolio experience

  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong leadership capability and presence highlighted with an ability to influence internally and with the partner/client

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in cobrand marketing (e.g., acquisition, lifecycle and loyalty campaigns)

  • Possess a Customer Journey, User Experience mindset

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and in a small team environment

Grade/Level: 12

                                                      

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
