The Role

We're looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our team as we scale. This is a fully remote position reporting to the VP of Security, and it sits at the intersection of systems administration, IT operations, and employee experience. You'll own the full IT lifecycle — from provisioning and onboarding to identity management, endpoint health, and internal tooling — for a distributed, global workforce.

This isn't a break-fix role. We're looking for someone who thinks in systems, values automation, and takes pride in building the IT foundation that a fast-growing Series B company runs on.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain identity and access management systems (Okta or similar), including provisioning, deprovisioning, SSO/SAML/SCIM integrations, RBAC, and lifecycle automation

  • Own endpoint management across macOS and Windows using MDM tools (Jamf Pro, Intune, or Kandji), including policies, patching, and configuration

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in line with company security policies; partner closely with HR and Security for onboarding and offboarding workflows

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues across a remote-first workforce

  • Manage the IT ticketing queue in Jira Service Management, maintaining SLA compliance and documentation standards

  • Maintain a standardized software and hardware inventory; manage licensing, procurement, and vendor relationships for laptops and peripherals

  • Set up and configure new systems (Mac and PC), applications, and software upgrades for incoming employees globally

  • Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, or similar) to improve operational efficiency across onboarding, access management, and routine IT tasks

  • Administer Google Workspace, including user management, group configuration, and policy enforcement

  • Support and enforce IT and security policies; contribute to internal documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base maintenance

  • Identify opportunities to improve tooling, reduce manual work, and strengthen the IT environment as the company scales

  • Manage the network infrastructure of Wealth.com’s offices

  • Maintain procedural documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

  • Research and identify complex issues and escalate them to Level 2/3 support or system administrators when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment

  • Hands-on experience with identity platforms (Okta strongly preferred), including SSO, SAML, SCIM, MFA, and lifecycle management

  • Strong proficiency with MDM platforms (Jamf Pro, Intune, or Kandji) and endpoint management across macOS and Windows

  • Deep familiarity with Google Workspace administration

  • Scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals — IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network hardware

  • Experience managing IT support queues and working within ITSM platforms (Jira Service Management preferred)

  • Excellent communication skills — you can translate technical issues clearly for non-technical teammates

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with a high degree of ownership

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-powered automation tools or workflow platforms (e.g., Tray.io, Zapier, Okta Workflows)

  • Familiarity with DLP, device trust, or security tooling (SentinelOne, Proofpoint, NightFall, etc.)

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
