THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Americas Partner Technical Leader to head the technical arm of VAST Data’s channel organization. Serving as the technical counterpart to the Americas Channel Director, this individual will lead all channel systems engineers (SEs) across the West, Central, and East regions of the Americas.

This leader will be responsible for building and scaling the technical capabilities of our partner ecosystem, ensuring channel partners are fully enabled to position, architect, and deliver VAST Data solutions. By combining strong technical depth with leadership and partner engagement skills, the Americas Partner Technical Leader will play a critical role in accelerating VAST’s channel success.

Responsibilities



  • Lead, mentor, and develop the channel SE team across the Americas, ensuring consistent technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with the Americas Channel Director to drive joint channel strategies, aligning sales and technical motions for maximum impact.
  • Build scalable partner enablement programs including training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on labs.
  • Support partner-led opportunities by providing architecture guidance, solution validation, and technical advocacy.
  • Develop technical assets such as reference architectures, best-practice guides, and deployment playbooks to support partner success.
  • Act as the voice of the partner SE community, bringing insights and feedback into VAST’s product, engineering, and enablement teams.
  • Represent VAST at partner events, executive briefings, and technical summits across the Americas.
  • Ensure that channel SEs are driving measurable partner outcomes in pipeline creation, solution adoption, and customer success.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture, or technical partner leadership roles in the enterprise infrastructure, storage, or cloud industry.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling technical teams across multiple geographies.
  • Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, storage, data platforms, and AI/ML or cloud workloads.
  • Track record of building and running partner enablement programs that drive measurable partner and business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop technical talent.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, equally effective with engineers, partners, and executives.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong sense of accountability.
