Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise to advise and lead on multiple products, applications, and technologies across the organization
- Drives thought leadership and encourages the organization to stay on top of the latest industry trends
- Collaborates across functions to integrate new infrastructure architecture with existing technologies
- Applies technical expertise to lead multiple cross-functional projects
- Considers financial implication of staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss
- Mentors and coaches junior architects and technologists
- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- Extensive knowledge and prior experience working in areas of infrastructure architecture
- Experience collaborating and implementing highly complex initiatives
- Ability to launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
- Expert in multiple programming languages
- Ability to work in partnership with senior leaders and advise on integration of new technologies for the firm
- Ability to analyze existing infrastructure, recommend changes, and design the best technological solutions to achieve future state infrastructure
- Extensive practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience of working at a financial institution at a similar level
