Own frontend implementation for enterprise Magento/Adobe Commerce storefronts using Hyva and modern frontend technologies. We're looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer (Magento / Adobe Commerce) to join our remote engineering team.
This role is ideal for a highly autonomous frontend engineer who enjoys owning frontend implementation, delivering high-quality code, and working independently on complex e-commerce projects.
You will work closely with backend engineers, business analysts, project managers, and designers to build and maintain modern Adobe Commerce storefronts.

- Build and maintain Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce storefronts
- Develop custom frontend solutions using Luma, Hyvä, and modern frontend technologies
- Implement responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces from Figma designs
- Own frontend implementation for enterprise e-commerce projects serving well-established brands
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
- Extensive hands-on Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce frontend experience
- Strong commercial experience with Hyvä theme development.
- Expert-level HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience with Magento frontend technologies (including jQuery where applicable)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (LESS, Sass, etc.)
- Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and Core Web Vitals
- Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Experience working with Git and modern development workflows
- Ability to independently handle frontend-related Magento backend tasks, including templates, ViewModels, layout XML, and lightweight PHP customizations
- Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs
- Experience working with Figma design files and developer handoff workflows
- Experience with React / Next.js (for headless or PWA projects) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of frontend deliverables with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce storefronts using custom themes, Hyvä, and modern frontend approaches
- Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces with high attention to detail
- Implement pixel-perfect frontend experiences based on Figma designs
- Ensure high standards of performance, accessibility, maintainability, and code quality
- Optimize storefront performance, including Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, and loading strategies
- Integrate frontend functionality with Magento services and APIs (REST / GraphQL)
- Work closely with backend developers, business analysts, project managers, and designers throughout project delivery
- Maintain clean, modular, reusable, and well-structured code
- Participate in technical discussions and provide implementation recommendations
- Take ownership of frontend implementation from estimation through deployment
