- Configure and maintain Sales Orders, Invoices, Credit Memos, and Payment Applications within NetSuite.
- Support billing logic for subscription, milestone, and usage-based revenue models.
- Assist in automation of invoice generation, contract renewals, and collection workflows.
- Partner with RevOps and Accounting teams to validate billing schedules, revenue arrangements, and item setups.
- Support NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) configurations for deferred and recognized revenue.
- Monitor revenue schedules and handle reallocation or deferral adjustments in compliance with ASC 606.
- Work with Finance to analyze revenue, unbilled receivables, and contract assets; assist in reporting and reconciliations.
- Learn and apply accounting concepts for depreciation of contract-linked assets, FX revaluation, and multi-book accounting where applicable.
- Assist with close activities including billing completeness checks, deferred revenue reconciliations, and AR aging.
- Identify opportunities to streamline OTC processes such as invoice automation, customer communication, and payment collection.
- Contribute to a knowledge base of configurations, test cases, and system enhancements.
As a Senior Business Systems Engineer, you will be the primary technical steward for the entire Order-to-Cash (OTC) ecosystem spanning NetSuite, Salesforce, and integrated billing platforms. Your day-to-day focus will be on configuring and maintaining these systems to ensure the accurate, compliant, and automated flow of every financial transaction from quote creation through customer payment and final revenue recognition. This role is critical for driving financial efficiency, supporting accurate revenue integrity (ASC 606), and strengthening SOX compliance across core accounting processes.
Who You Are:This section contains the technical and measurable requirements for the role:
- Experience: 6–8 years of experience supporting, implementing, and configuring enterprise ERP systems, with a strong preference for NetSuite.
- NetSuite Expertise: Proven ability to configure and maintain core NetSuite modules, specifically Sales Orders, Invoices, Credit Memos, Payment Applications, and Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) for deferred and recognized revenue.
- OTC Process Knowledge: Deep functional experience with the end-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, and Fixed Asset processes.
- Billing Models: Experience supporting complex billing logic for diverse revenue models (e.g., subscription, milestone, or usage-based).
- Integration Acumen: Familiarity with integrating front-office systems (like Salesforce CRM/CPQ) with ERP systems, and experience utilizing integration or automation tools (e.g., Workato, Boomi) is highly desirable.
- Financial Acumen: Basic, demonstrable understanding of key accounting principles, including debits/credits, deferrals, accruals, depreciation, and compliance standards such as ASC 606.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.
- Experience assisting with critical month/quarter-end close activities, including billing completeness checks and deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as FX revaluation, multi-book accounting, and depreciation of contract-linked assets.

The base salary range for this role is $139,000 to $204,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
