Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional projects. This hybrid PM will play a key role in aligning project execution with business goals, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery across diverse initiatives.
This role will directly support initiatives involving Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and MODA-EM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating both IT and business contexts, particularly in life sciences or regulated environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks depending on the project needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives) as needed.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk logs for Waterfall or hybrid projects.
- Manage delivery of projects involving ELN, LIMS, and MODA-EM platforms, ensuring alignment with business processes and compliance standards.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders, proactively managing expectations and resolving issues.
- Track project performance, report on progress, and provide transparency through status reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate resource allocation and manage budgets and timelines effectively.
- Adapt project delivery strategies based on team maturity, business constraints, and stakeholder needs.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated success managing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid projects.
- Experience managing IT or business systems projects in a regulated environment, ideally with ELN, LIMS, or MODA-EM.
- Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- PMP and/or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
