Position Summary

The Network Communications Sales Executive creates business relationships and increases CDK revenue through face-to-face and remote sales activities for specific sales solutions. Works in conjunction with the baseline sales reps to increase sales opportunities to grow CDK’s share of wallet in existing and competitive client bases.
The NCSE will be responsible for generating new business, expanding market share, and increasing adoption of CDK’s advanced technology solutions. This role partners closely with the Sales Region and is tasked with driving growth along with Direct Selling across key technology domains including network infrastructure, IaaS (Exchange/AD), collaboration tools, cybersecurity, and other enabling solutions. The NCSE will manage/achieve an annual assigned sales plan, work under the guidance of the VP/RGM and regional DOSs, and collaborate cross-functionally with sales engineering, product management, marketing, operations, support, and frontline sales teams to deliver results.

Responsibilities: 

  • Under guidance provided by the VP/RGM and regional Director of Sales, has ability to attain measurable results and achieve sales quotas:

    • Identify new opportunities with existing and new CDK clients

    • Generate significant revenue and profit growth utilizing a disciplined and process-oriented approach.

    • Formulate an overall sales plan and forecast short and long-term sales results

  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of specific CDK products and their functionality

  • Understand industry segment and keep abreast of competitor developments in the market and/or territory

  • Effectively communicate complex Network, Security and Communications solutions and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Translate customer needs into tailored, consultative solutions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive revenue, build customer relationships, and support deal closure in the B2B automotive Network, Security and Communication space

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, with proven success selling network communication systems and related dealership technologies

  • Foster trust and collaboration across internal teams and client stakeholders through strong relationship-building skills

  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory

  • Follow all CDK Global policies and procedures

  • Complete all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements

  • Meet or exceed all performance expectations

Required Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience

  • Proven success in B2B direct sales, with 5–7 years of experience including 2+ years in technology sales

  • Strong background in automotive and dealership technology, especially network, security and communications system solutions

  • Deep understanding of network processes, AI applications, price book APIs, and system integrations

  • Familiarity with dealership DMS and CRM platforms; knowledge of automotive, F&I, and tech industries

  • Proven ability to identify customer drivers and align solutions to deliver business value

  • Skilled in consultative selling, prospecting, competitive displacement, and closing high-value executive deals

  • Strong communication and presentation skills—verbal, written, and visual

  • Experience in Sales Enablement, Pipeline Management, and Forecasting

  • Technical proficiency across Collaboration, Networking, and IaaS, including:

    • Unified Communications

    • Switching, Routing, Wireless

    • Security & Network Management

    • Hosted Exchange & Active Directory

  • Self-starter with adaptability and a proactive mindset

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven success in outside sales and business development, selling Network, Collaboration, and Cybersecurity solutions preferably to automotive dealerships

  • Experience driving market growth through strategic marketing and frontline sales enablement

  • Exposure to enterprise accounts and complex sales environments

  • Industry expertise in Automotive Vertical Solutions

  • Strong financial acumen with proficiency in Excel for modeling and analysis

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce

Salary: $85,000 + Uncapped Commissions
