The Lending Operations Associate Manager is responsible for leading a team of 12+ Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinators in the Credit Spreading process. Also responsible for the hiring and training of new Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinators as well as being responsible for overall production and quality of the Credit Spreading teams.

The Lending Operations Associate Manager is responsible for leading a team of 12+ Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinators in the Credit Spreading process. Also responsible for the hiring and training of new Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinators as well as being responsible for overall production and quality of the Credit Spreading teams.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, influencing, developing, and managing non-exempt team members including decisions relative to performance reviews, hiring, salary recommendations, disciplinary action, and termination.
- Training the Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinator to spread business and individual tax returns and financial statements per GAAP and internal credit policies using prescribed financial analysis software packages.
- Accountable for ensuring quality customer service provided to internal/external customers.
- Develops and implements operational, servicing, or documentation procedures, methods, and work systems.
- Will have direct supervision of Commercial Banking Portfolio Coordinators who are in training or in a production environment.
- Coordinates with the Quality Control team to ensure a comprehensive and effective quality control process is maintained.
- Leads, participates in projects, initiatives that primarily impact the Credit Spreading department.
- Fosters an environment that encourages the open exchange of ideas and the identification and resolution of potential problems. Creates environment where team members are willing to be creative and develop their personal potential.
- Manages information flow into, within and from the team related to systems, policies, procedures, process changes, reports, data cleanup, etc.
- Gathers and analyzes data for reporting to external and internal parties, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- 2+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 1+ years of Leadership experience
- 1+ year of credit and risk analysis experience
- 1+ year of commercial banking experience
- 1+ year of banking management experience
- Experience analyzing accounting principles and business financial statements
- Knowledge and understanding of FIS Optimist
- Experience with one or a combination of the following systems: Business Lending and Sales Tracking (BLAST), Hogan, Automated Financial Systems (AFS) commercial loan system, FLO, or ICMP
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial banking products, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: process improvements, continuous improvement, or LEAN
- Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial credit: operations
- A BS/BA degree or higher in business, management, accounting, finance, or economics
- This position is currently working a hybrid model of 3 days in office/2 days work from home.
