With our expanding firm, we have an opportunity for an experienced and technical Tax Managing Director (MD) to join our growing ITAX practice. This individual will lead a team to deliver tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to middle-market businesses, with a focus on international taxation. The MD will also establish procedures/processes for the ITAX Compliance Team.  

You’ll use your client service team leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of managers and staff.  

To continue our success, we're looking for an MD who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network of business contacts and referral sources and engaging in business development opportunities with other firm professionals. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish procedures / processes for ITAX Compliance Team on Review / QC’ing.
• Face of ITAX Compliance on teaming with Core Tax (Federal) Team on “Best Practices” on Engagement Pricing and Scoping.
• Team with Corporate (large client) Team on aligning on OneSource for all Consolidated Return Filers.
• Establish consistent “best of” workpapers for ITAX calculations.
• Participate and support ITAX consulting and planning engagements.
• Mentor, develop, and manage staff, providing timely feedback and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Participate in recruiting as needed.
• Oversee engagement objectives, budgets, resources, billing, and performance to ensure client deliverables and firm goals are met.
• Integrate practice development skills into client service and business development initiatives.
• Facilitate client understanding of international tax developments and implications.
• Stay current on international tax regulations and best practices, sharing insights with clients and team members.
• Pursue growth and efficiency for ITAX Compliance offerings and engagements.
• Understand technology offerings and team with Leadership to pursue such on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active CPA license.
• Requires significant international tax consulting, provision (ASC 740), and compliance expertise, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive experience in building tax compliance process standardization that leads to best practices and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Strong project management, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.  
• Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, Onesource and/or Engagement is a plus.
