The IT Specialist will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support end user accounts, and assist with IT projects and improvements.

Overall Responsibilities:
The IT Specialist will be joining the CFGI IT Department to resolve and escalate any IT related matters at CFGI. This individual will troubleshoot hardware and software related issues, maintain end user accounts and provide effective communication to all employees. The ideal candidate should be self-sufficient with the ability to help seek efficiencies and assist as needed with on-going core projects while working alongside the Network Administrator and Regional Support team. CFGI currently utilizes Windows 10/11, Microsoft Azure AD, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online in addition to many other core business applications. CFGI is a well-established, high-growth workplace with approximately 1,200 employees today.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to employees through helpdesk with the support of the IT team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to company owned hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Prioritize, maintain, track IT related issues and change requests through a ticketing system
• Maintain employee accounts and licensing in many different areas (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Zoom)
• Assist with ongoing onboard and offboarding procedures.
• Assist with tasks related to on-going IT improvements and projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills/Competencies:
• Operational knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace
• Operational Knowledge of personal computing hardware and peripherals (e.g. HP, Dell, Lenovo)
• Operational knowledge of cloud-based technologies related to file storage (e.g. OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive)
• Operational knowledge of Apple/Android mobile devices and applications (e.g. Email, Two-Factor Authentication)
• Ability to work through break/fix troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues
• Effectively prioritizing multiple requests and determining escalation as needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees via email, virtual meetings, and phone
• Staying current with software and email-based malware/phishing tactics to keep our employees safe
Start Date and Duration:
• Flexible, full-time
Hours:
• Individuals in this position are expected to be available Monday through Friday from 8:30am—5pm,
• They may occasionally be asked to vary their schedule and/or work overtime to meet department requirements with the support of the administrative team.
Location:
• CFGI primarily operates under a work-from-home model, with the expectation that employees will work in person when required.
• Eastern Time Zone working location required in the greater Northeast or Southeast region of the US.
• Candidates may have potential travel requirements for relevant projects or company-based events.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• Two to three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.
• A degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred. IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Net+, MCSE, Azure, etc.) or equivalent experience will also be considered.
