About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with line of business leadership to design state-of-the-art in-person and digital events, customizing strategy and content to deliver the most effective experience for each client segment

  • Take a holistic view of the “client journey” during all aspects of the event and look for innovative ways to engage our clients through new technology, content and/or interaction

  • Provide hands-on project management, effectively communicating and collaborating across all levels and functions within the organization to meet deadlines, i.e. Brand, Communications, Compliance, Content, Creative, Global Events, Legal, Multimedia.

  • During events, function as central point person for sales, speakers and clients, taking ownership of entire client experience and ensuring all components (content and logistics) are operating seamlessly

  • Track attendees and measure key analytics to track success and/or uncover issues of the event; utilize these metrics and survey findings to modify existing event plan, specifically focusing on content, segmentation strategy and budget spend

  • Leverage existing campaigns to deliver a focused post-event follow-up to all attendees based on segmentation and lead generation

Qualities we look for:

  • BS/BA degree in business administration or marketing preferred 

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services event marketing, particularly for an asset manager or institutional investor

  • Strong background in project management, events and marketing with an emphasis in the institutional investment space

  • Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously, in a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong writing and communication -- we want marketers who make the complex simple, who can relate concepts with visuals and a minimum number of words

  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus

  • Project management skills and proven effectiveness at strategic relationship building across internal and external stakeholders – we seek a team player with strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

  • A passion for investing and willingness to learn more in this area; understanding of investment products and portfolio construction principles preferred

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$100,000.00 - USD$130,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,000.00 - USD$120,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
